Wood-fired Margherita on a peel, with the oven burning behind it at La Mamma

Wood-fired · Rue des Eglantiers

A little Rome. Held over fire.

La Mamma is the wood oven Ifrane already loved as My Lil Rome. Roman pizza, a small room, and two services with a real pause between them.

The house

Wood fire, tomato, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, ricotta, two services, Rue des Eglantiers, Ifrane.

01 — The house

The sign changed.
The fire did not.

For years this was the pizza students at Al Akhawayn passed from one table to the next, then to parents who came up the mountain. The name became La Mamma. The oven stayed on Rue des Eglantiers.

The kitchen works in two sittings. Come for lunch, or come back when dinner starts. The hours between are intentional. The oven rests, and so does the room.

03 — The room

Ifrane, on Rue des Eglantiers.

A few minutes from the gates of Al Akhawayn. The room is small, the oven is not subtle, and five o’clock is a closed door.

04 — A note

Tell the house you are coming.

The room is small. Write for a larger table, a question, or a takeaway order. This opens your email to La Mamma. It does not hold a seat by itself — call or WhatsApp if you are already close.
